Kevin McReynolds was suppose to be in Eugene this weekend, but the Duck coaching staff asked him to reschedule and come out the following weekend. McReynolds already has a visit scheduled that weekend as he will be visiting the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Josh Barr of the Washington Post is reporting that McReynolds now is no longer considering Oregon and is down to Kansas State, Maryland, Mississippi State, Syracuse and UCLA. This comes as a blow to the Oregon class with the only current commit the Ducks have at the DT position is JUCO transfer Jared Ebert.
The Ducks still have three DT recruits on their board and really need to land at least one of them. Delvon Simmons visited on November 5th and with him having to come from Pennsylvania he probably will not make another trip to Eugene. Mo Latu has not taken an official visit to Eugene yet, but is expected to visit before NSD. Christian Heyward is expected to be on campus nextweekend. Latu is only true DT of these three, Heyward and Simmons could potentially play as DE in college depending on how much weight they can put on.

Nick "Dirtiest Player in the NCAA" Fairely Declares for Draft
Less than 24 hours after Cam Newton declared for the draft Nick Fairley decided to join his teammate. Fairley is projected to go in the top 3 in the draft. Personally, if I was GM I would not draft him. Fairley is arguably the dirtiest player in college football. Hopefully some of his future teammates let him know that if he tries his antics in the The League he will be placed one IR once a pro lineman gets done with him.

Did Chizik Push Cam towards the draft?
What comes as no surprise, Auburn starting quarterback Cam Newton has declared for the NFL draft. Newton read a prepared statement saying ""This decision was difficult for me and my family, after talking to Coach Chizik and Coach Malzahn, I think it is best that I make that next step in my career and forgo my senior season and enter the NFL Draft."
You have wonder if Chizik and Malzahn told Newton to go pro mostly for the reason, that he comes back next year and the NCAA eventually declares Newton ineligible they will have to not only forfeit the 2010 season but next year's season as well. I know personally if it was me and I was in the shoes of Gene Chizik, I would try to push Newton towards the draft as hard as possible. Chizik probably did not know that Newton could have been paid to come to Auburn but he knows that something happened. He could not do anything but get behind his star player for the 2010 season, but why would you want to potentially forfeit two seasons.
